Married life is beautiful! Thanks for asking.

I actually 'used to' clip the tiels' wings, but haven't done so in a year. They just don't fly! I mean, they don't even know how. We got them really young, and they hadn't learned to fly yet, so I wonder if they just never learned. Muffin is really scared of heights, and calls me just to get down from the coffee table.

She won't even get down by herself if I take an hour to come and help her.

Popcorn can glide down pretty well, and does use his ability to get down from places 4 ft high or lower, but he too, prefers to use me as an elevator, and he can't fly 'up' either. I really don't know why, but my tiels can't fly, and they never have in the 7.5 years I've had them. I wouldn't recommend taking other birds out, but my birds are different. They're also pretty attached to me, and scream if I move away from them. I still keep a close watch on them, and put them on very low branches in the fenced yard when I'm at my parents'.

Now my brother's new tiels...(I know I haven't introduced them here yet) can fly VERY well, even with clipped wings, and there is no way any of us would ever take them outside.
