    I like Ethan and Nathan, or if you decided to stick with Alexander, you can call him "Alex," which would fit into your 2 syllable category. Logan is one of those names I would avoid on a personal level, just because having been a teacher, it reminds me of a couple of former students. (However, if you were to name your little boy that, it could help alleviate my mental stereotype...)
