I bought a Sansa sandisk for my dad this past Xmas. He loves it, he has the 1 gb and it holds over 200 songs. He says the great thing about it is that it so easy to use, much more so an something like an ipod shuffle. It look me about 5 minutes of showing him how to add music to it and then we were done and he didn't need my help anymore. The quality also sounds great, it runs on AAA batteries which last forever and all of this for a price less than $70.

The other MP3 player that I would reccomend is the Zen Nano , it's a little more expensive, but just as good.

I've had an ipod nano before and loved it, however when it was stolen in England this summer I decided that it wasn't worth it to spend that much money when I could get something just as good for cheaper. If you want to organize all your albums and need to play more than 500 songs then the Nano would be great for you. However if you just want something small, easy to use and plays music then it just isn't worth the money.

Now that I have an MP3 player jack in my car and I'm using it all the time and would like to have a greater music storage capacity I'm reconsidering getting an ipod. But my half the price MP3 player has been great for things like trips or working out.
