OOHHHHHHH... now that comment makes total sence... The Wheat was sold to the USA & imported to Canada for the plants that sell the product in the USA. DAMN!

They have expanded the recall list, so you need to check the list again for the foods in your cupboards and closets.

So far, canned and wet. No dry foods. They have added a few brands, AND in the brands already listed, they have added more date stamps.

Now they are also discussing that what has come up so far are the "acute" cases - where the concentration in one pouch or can was enough to case immediate kidney problems. They are anticipating a second round, of "chronic" cases, where one feeding alone didn't do it but repeat feedings have caused a build up of the toxin and the pets are slowly being poisoned and getting sick.

I received this link from my vet today. Apparently, they want to recall all dates of this food, not just the Dec through March as first stated! This is as of March 23rd.
