Now I must ponder the part about Frankie bringing the calico kitten to you. One always thinks of father cats as just moving on and being indifferent to the fate, or even the birth, of their offspring. But Frankie apparently went to some trouble to make certain this calico kitten that was likely his would have good a home - and, as shy as he was, he knew where that home was.
So this is something I must ponder.
Good story - and once again I find myself full of admiration to learn just how far some folks will go on behalf of a strange cat that so many others would be happy just to pull out the .22 and put an end to.
Your concern and care, I am certain, is being rewarded countless times over.
