I'm with you (on the PETA thing). I_luv-rusty ~ I think the point is that we don't want to give any of our hard-earned money to PETA to use to spread their nonsense.Originally Posted by I_luv_rusty

People are funny. PETA isn't worthy of credit even for a great idea.![]()

Liz, I don't think it's a matter of not giving them credit for a good idea, I think it's a matter of not wanting to support an extremist group like PETA. I know I don't want to support them. They give viable rescue and animal lovers a bad name with the stupid stunts they pull. I do think that some of their ideas are good, it's they way they present them that I object to, and therefore, I won't support them.
Don't buy while shelter dogs die!!
PETA actively harasses people like me--who do any kind of activity with their animals. The last thing I need is to end up on one of their mailing lists.Originally Posted by lizbud

LOL, thats great!
PETA members let an entire sled dog team loose in downtown Anchorage because they said that the dogs were better off dead than in "slavery". These poor, frightened dogs were running through traffic scared out of their minds. Thankfully, PETA did not get their wish. The dogs were rounded up before they could be killed by passing cars.Originally Posted by lizbud

Heard on the news today that PETA also said a little Polar bear cub being raised by hand (it's mom rejected it) in Germany would be better off dead than being raised by humans. The news story called it a "right to life" issue, on behalf of the bear. The film clip of him was adorable - can't imagine that being dead is in any way, shape, or form, a better alternative.
As far as the bumper sticker, I would think that if the art is different, that would suffice. I don't think they can "copyright" just a statement like that.
Love the bumper sticker TamaraGreat message!

I agree. Besides, just nice clear text is easier to read!Originally Posted by cyber-sibes
Cafe Press is SO easy - you just create an account, and they GIVE you the exact specs for the graphics. Then you use your own graphics program, fonts, etc., to create your sticker. It's a bit labyrinthine at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy to punch up the green or make one line of text bigger by revising your graphic and reuploading the new one. I used it to make the sticker in my signature. Just click on it to get to the Cafe Press site, then click where it says Start Selling Now up at the top.

I would gladly make a bumper sticker for anyone that would like me to. I could also include photos of your own animal/s.
I did a search for that saying and mainly PETA websites came up. Maybe we can change it around a bit?
