I'm so glad you got Molly spayed! She and your family will be much happier that she doesn't go into heat anymore with all that caterwauling and writhing. She may still be feeling some discomfort from the surgery so give her a little more time. All my girls have been spayed and what a relief not to worry about an unwanted pregnancy.

By getting Molly spayed, you've significantly reduced her risk for cancer and eliminated the possibility of pyometra, as well as helping stop the tragedy of cat overpopulation. Just keep a close eye on her, give her lots of love, and stay in touch with your vet - some cats need extra time to get over the anesthesia and the surgery. Make sure she's eating and not sick to her stomach, clean her box daily and look for anything unusual, and provide fresh drinking water, and contact the vet if anything seems wrong.

I had my tubes tied years ago, and THAT had me creaking around like a rusty robot for four days, and it was a much less invasive procedure! She probably just needs time.

    Love, Columbine

I agree with wolf Q--there are already SO many cats in the world, please don't help to bring more into the world. if you want to see a cat have kittens and see them raised, etc., you could adopt a pregnant cat. I have thought of that at times, that I would like to adopt a mom-to-be cat, and watch the kittens grow up, watch the mom raise them. I love cats so much I used to think it would be fun to see the cats grow, and how they interact, but with the problems I am having with my cats now, that is no longer a wish of mine, at least not now.
