I missed the begining of this trip (due to a VERY uncooperative computer.) but I am glad all arrived safely! And thanks for reminding me that TODAY is the day I snatch Jupiter. **EVIL LAUGH **
Can't wait for the CID (Soon to be called CI-Illinios) photos.![]()

Penny is on her way home, no pics top post as her poor babies have found every nook and cranny to hide in................................... I will take a few as soon as we see them.
I cannot thank PT enough for all of your prayers thoughts and amazing responses to make this happen for Penny and her kids. THANK YOU ALL!!!!
Through all of this I was able to give back a very small part of what PT has given me, and I made a wonderful friend, who can be more blessed?
Jupiter will arrive in less than half an hour, my family is complete, a friends family is safe and I am a very blessed woman.
Just my thoughts and gratitude.

Home at last! Although with no cats here, it doesn't feel like home anymore.![]()
Kym and Jas are two of the Best People on the Planet! I'll never be able to thank you enough for taking in my displaced kitties. I hope they eventually come out of hiding and show a little gratitude.![]()
I must tumble into bed now. I'll post more tomorrow after I regain consciousness.

Well, that was quite a weekend! I don't usually manage to put 1800 miles on a car in three days.![]()
The cats yelled nonstop for the first hour or two after we got on the road. I figured I'd better stick pretty close to the speed limit because I really didn't want to get pulled over. "Cats, officer? What cats?"
After awhile, everyone quieted down. I think they had resigned themselves to the idea that we were all going to be living in a car. Stopping for gas set off the chorus again, as did the smoke smell from a roadside grass fire.
It was with deep relief that I finally arrived at Casa Goodnow, where I was given the warmest of welcomes. They're in the process of transforming a wonderful old building into a haven for humans and critters. And what a happy bunch of critters they have! I got to meet cats, dogs, and birds (but not Jupiter, who hadn't yet arrived).
My guys weren't nearly as happy. They all scrambled for cover and mostly stayed there. They're all pretty shy of people anyway, and I'm sure that a long day in the car didn't improve their moods one bit. I just hope they don't stay grumpy too long--and that they will have forgiven me by the time I show up to fetch them! At least the last leg of the journey, once I've found a house, will only take an hour or so.
I've promised to critter sit for Kym and Jas absolutely any time they need me once I've moved to Illinois. I'm just so grateful that they're willing and able to look after my crew.
And thank you, all you PetTalkers who have offered help, prayers, and warm wishes during this crazy time. Gary, please let the Pet Angels know that they did an outstanding job, as usual.![]()
Oh, by the way, the infamous Canadian nip has another convert. I tucked a couple of Gary's catnip mice into a bag along with some other toys. Not long after I arrived, one of the Goodnow kitties found his way into the bag and pulled out the plastic baggie that contained the mice! So I told my guys that they would have to be nice guests and share the good stuff.![]()
