Molly should have her appt made for her spaying, is what I think. We are over run with homelss kittens already. How will you find GOOD safe homes for hers? She shouldn't have to go through a pregnancy, it won't make her any "better."

I have followed all your advice, everyone! Last weekend I took Molly to the vet and got her spayed! She is feeling very better.
Well, I'm not sure if 'better' is the right word. My wittle Molly girl isn't acting like herself anymore. Before the vet got her spayed, she was outgoing and playful and very, very friendly! Now she's grumpy and just isnt acting like herself. Could something be wrong? I never gotten a cat spayed and nether have my parents. We always adopted from a shelter and the animals were always spayed. But we got Molly from a breeder. Can anyone help? I'm really worried about Molly! Could this be a side affect from getting spayed? I'm clueless!!

Thank you for getting Molly spayed!!! Some cats that a bit longer to come out of the anesthesia, so that might be Molly's problem. Give her time and space to come back to her old self. You did the right thing!!! Sandra

Spaying is not a simple operation, as neutering can be for the boys. It took my girls about a week, minimum, to recuperate. Give her some time to heal and she's bounce back to the way she was.

Give her time as she will be sore. My girls were back to there themselves in about a week.

I'm so glad you got Molly spayed! She and your family will be much happier that she doesn't go into heat anymore with all that caterwauling and writhing. She may still be feeling some discomfort from the surgery so give her a little more time. All my girls have been spayed and what a relief not to worry about an unwanted pregnancy.
