I'm glad I read this - I didn't know that, and I douse all their little cuts with peroxide. My mom always said the foam would flush everything out! (of course, she wasn't a vet)

Hope his little nosie gets better soon. If you see any signs of infection - it swells, oozes, gets hot, or he seems lethargic - take him to the vet. Puncture wounds can fester just under the surface where you can't see them, until they abcess, which gets ugly.
