Ok, I'm back from work. What a loooong day. I waited and waited all day for the vet to call. She still hasn't called. I will go on the philosphy that no news is good news.
I tell ya, I was so impressed when I saw him this afternoon. He was purring, he rubbed against me for pets. He nestled into my arms and was making happy feet on the towel. He was NOT impressed with the E-collar... I tell ya, I have no idea how they managed to get it to stay on him.
Seeing the amount of blood in his urine was scary. He was still wearing the catheter and it was daunting how red his urine was. I was told that looked GOOD compared to earlier. She said his temp is where it belongs and the levels were all much lower, much to everyone's surprise. I was just thrilled to see him perky, eyes alert and watchful... and to hear the PURRRrrrrrrrr. And to watch that little tail twitchHe didn't look like the pathetic ragdoll I brought in yesterday -- he looked like the troublemaker I know and love. They told me that he was starting to become sweet and loving as the day wore on. Ahhhh... thats my boy
Of course the tech I don't like was the one to show me back to my boy. While I got my whole 5 minutes with him, she laid one monster guilt trip on me. Gee... thanks, thats exactly what I need right now. I did what I had to do in order to give him medical care that won't toss my family onto the streets.
Thanks so much for the prayers. They seem to be working. Pouncer will be here for a long time to come ((((HUGS))))
