    So it looks something like this:


    This is what happened to Bud after he and the GSD next door got into it under the fence awhile back.

    I didn't do anything to it, I just made sure it was kept clean (he did a good job of it himself)

    It didn't take all that long to heal up.

    I'm sure it will heal ok on it's own. Salt water helps keep it clean and help with healing.

    In the UK, we have a creamy ointment in a tube called germolene that works wonders and dogs don't really like the taste of it either so wouldn't lick it off. It really does clear up cuts, sores and skin irritations. For those types of wounds that need drying out, an antiseptic powder works great too.

    I always keep both in handy in case I need them.
