Are seedless grapes ok for dogs?

Our puppy found a grape rolling around on the floor one day ( my daughter was eating them for breakfast and apparently one 'escaped' from her bowl ) and ate it. She loved it, had a blast rolling it around the floor and devouring it once it got squished.

Someone at work today told me that grapes were toxic to dogs, even worse than chocolate. Is there any truth to this? Of course I don't want my pup to get sick, but she really loves the taste of grapes. Thanks in advance for the advice!

There are phenolic compounds that can be toxic to the kidneys- if consumed in large quanities. An occaisonal grape isn't going to hurt. Filling their dish with a pound of grapes is a different issue. No need to panic if another grape escapes. Peanut butter inside a Kong toy might interest puppy.

I have tried putting peanut butter in her kong, and she doesn't like it. She gave a couple sniffs, a small lick, made a face and walked away lol.
