A torbie is named because it is a brown tabby with patches of orange. Can also be called a red patch tabby. Flutter has some orange in her fur, not too evident in the photo.

I'm Flutter's mom. Jen's right, Flutter has lots of orange in her. Wow, I had to dig for photos representing her orange spots. They don't come up too well in photos.

Can you see her orange blotches on her back? They're very subtle, but there. Her "Sister" in the one with the orange "heart" on her forehead
A Tortie is a cat mixed with orange. A torbie is a tabby that has some orange patches. A calico is a tortie with white. All three are somewhat related because of their coloring and all 3 are almost always females.
PS: Thanks for thinking my little princess is adorable![]()
Ok, that is much more clear now -- thank you to you both!
I think that Mitten has a little bit of orange in her but not as much as your pretty kittyI think she is a tabby cat through and through (with some jellicle in her as well, no doubt!)
