Thread: A woman President

I myself have never felt like a second class citizen but many woman do and they are paid less. I would not vote for Hilary because she is a woman, I will vote for her because right now I think she can do the best job. Her being a woman just means that woman's issues are closer to her heart then they would be to most men. One of the reasons she has my vote is because she is pro-choice and because I feel she will help and gay and lesbian communtiy. I would also like to see more money used for things such as woman's health issues, child care, education, retirement. In many of these cases especially woman's health I believe a woman will do more for us. And even though we don't want to admit it, looks do matter to us in voting for a president and for that matter for someone getting a job. They just had these shows on TV where fat people and ugly people applied for a job and were given the brush off, later that same person comes back without the ugly makeup and fat suit and gets the job. We are visual creatures by nature. Part of Bill Clinton and JFK's appeal was sex appeal. If Hilary looked like Selma Hayak I am sure more men would vote for her and maybe even more woman.

RuPaul is more woman than hillary clinton! SHe might say all of this rap, but she realy dosent care! She is just trying to sucker The "female" population in! And as far as Bill and JFK, i dont think sex appeal had anything to do with it. I know I could give two craps what the next president looks like, or any of them for that matter! I honestly dont think anyone realy cares. and I hope to god, that is not what people are looking for!

Senator Clinton scares me. If she's in the south, she has a southern drawl. In the north? Change the accent. Speaking to war protesters? She's against the war, and her vote was a mistake. Speaking to a pro-military audience? Message shifts again.

So far in this pathetically early start to the campaign season, I have heard nothing but sound bites and bumper sticker politics from any of the candidates. No concrete solutions from anyone. Much about how wrong everything is, but no solutions. A long time ago, while in a counseling session, my platoon Sgt told me "Look, Pvt, If you're going to complain, fine, If you want me to DO something about it, help me out. Offer me a solution. " I haven't heard solution one from anyone.

I actually do not mind Hillary I think she did a decent job running the country once before.

However I am not overly impressed with any of our choices, this time out. It is rather early in the race , and who knows maybe Ross Perot will surface again, if not there is always Mario.

In fact, the very same things could be said of almost every one of the
people who have or will run for national office. So what's new?

As for the foul language, she's probably not the expert that Dick Cheney
or a George W Bush is. Big whoop, she can curse like a man, so what?

I am going to question some of these statements. I do not believe that a police officer, especially someone in the secert service would ever comment on what was said while they were protecting a person. Any SS officer who did repeat something said would lose his job and would not be able to find any work in law enforcement. SS kept their mouths shut and their eyes open for danger, no one but a fool would risk losing such a job by talking to the media or reporting a private converstion.

    You f**king idiot."
(From the book "Crossfire" p. 84 - Hillary to a State Trooper who was driving her to an event.)

"If you want to remain on this detail, get your f**king ass over here and grab those bags!"
(From the book "The First Partner" p. 259 - Hillary to a Secret Service Agent who was reluctant to carry her luggage because he wanted to keep his hands free in case of an incident.)

"Get f**ked! Get the f**k out of my way!!! Get out of my face!!!"
(From the book "Hillary's Scheme" p. 89 - Hillary's various comments to her Secret Service detail agents.)

"Stay the f**k back, stay the f**k away from me! Don't come within ten yards of me, or else! Just f**king do as I say, Okay!!!?"
(From the book "Unlimited Access", by Clinton FBI Agent in Charge, Gary Aldrige, p. 139 - Hillary screaming at her Secret Service detail.)

    Gee... What a shocker...

I am sure we could go back and forth on this, but it would be boring. Do the ostrich routine if you wish. LOL

Though it is from a variety of reasons, no matter how you slice it, women earn less than men. Here is one example of a source. http://www.mtsu.edu/~berc/tnbiz/women/pdfs/wages.pdf There are many more.

I'm not sure who I want to win the democratic primary of the eligible candidates yet. I would love to see Dennis Kucinich win, I voted for him in the 2004 primary, but as that won't happen I'll have to wait and see. All I'm sure of is that I would almost certainly vote for any democrat before I'd ever vote for a republican.

There is a difference between lip service, persuasive speaking, weasel words, and campaign hyperbole, and Hilary.

A far as I have ever been able to discern, the woman doesn't have a genuine, deep-seated, long-term conviction in her entire body. Not one issue she can even begin to convince me she really is passionate and committed to, and not just trying to tell people what they want to hear about it.

You can pick almost any other slimy, flip-flopping, double-speaking, backpeddling politician and find at least one or two points they have stuck to and shown some dedication to.

Hilary?---maybe promotion of herself, or the seeking of glory.

Any doubt about this subject should have been obliterated for the average person when she magically morphed from southern Christian to New York Jew overnight for the sake of an election .
