One way to ensure this, is to leave the food down for about 15 for his feeding. If he doesn't eat during this time, then lift it up. Don't feed him again until his next feeding.

As long as his activity level is still normal and he's drinking water, don't worry too much. If this changes or you still feel something is wrong, always go to the vet.
