I wish I could take him! I would in a heartbeat. I hope someone can open their heart and home to him.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
I miss you
I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.
Fur as dark as the night.
Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Oh Tracy you are doing such a great thing by helping this old guy! I'm sure he'll thank you for it! I wish I could help, but as you know I have Bruce right now. If you get him to an adoptive home or rescue this way give me a buzz. I'll be more than happy to help with transport!

Thank you Lexie for offering to help with a transport. I will let you know. So far he is doing great though.Originally Posted by lute
Our foster home fell through for the time being, so it looks like I have no choice but to keep him here for a while...though I wish I didn't have to. He is a really good dog. Very sweet and affectionate. I hope somebody realizes that and takes him in.

Maybe try to keep him away from where the other puppies were. In hopes he doesn't get parvo too.

It is hard to keep him away from where the pups where at. They where all over the first couple of days until I noticed the signs of Parvo. So far (knock on wood) Scruff and Dozer are okay, so hopefully he will be too. Rusty mainly stays in our room, he likes our bed!! All I can do is hope and pray all will be okay.Originally Posted by lute

any news about a foster or permanent home for this guy? I saw on Petfinder there is a Senior dog rescue in St. Louis.
