She was glad to be free of that collar after a week.

It only gave her trouble getting between tables and chairs, and getting in the house, as she is so low to the ground already that the collar would catch on the door step.

Now that she can SEE, the light bothers her when she is trying to nap. This is how she slept for over an hour one afternoon:

Awww, Sugar is such a sweetie (pun intended ). She needs a puppy sleeping mask to cover her eyes while she naps.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Hey, I think Sugar and Fritz would make the most lovely couple!

She is adorable. To be honest, I've never petted a Bichon in person, although I have seen them. Are their coats like Poodles? Maltese? Their coats remind me of somewhere in between the two breeds.

    She is a doll..
Sandra- it is totally normal at first after having her cataracts removed to hide her face. Remember- she was in some darkness and shading with the cataracts. Usually they get use to it after a few weeks or months. Some dogs will like to hide their face for a while longer. Its totally normal!

Kfamr, their coat is hair, not fur, and it feels like cotton balls! It is SO soft and fluffy.

Barry, what she likes to sit in best of all is LAPS! Ha ha.

OK, Michele, so that is why Sugar hides her eyes; now why do all the cats do it too? Te hee, I think it is just normal really, like we cover our eyes if we nap during the day, or pull the shades. Anyway, it doesn't worry me, I thought it was kind of funny with her head in my slipper!

Thanks everyone, we LOVE her to pieces.
