    Having recieved only a single shot means nothing. Until the dog finishes the series of vaccinations the dog is NOT protected!

    This is why it is very important to finish the series of shots when you get a new animal, and to keep new animals isolated from other pets until the series is finished.

    I don't think he neccessarily got Parvo from the shot, the pup was
    probably already exposed to the disease before he came home with you.
    Did you get the pup from a breeder or a shelter? Either way, I would also
    call the people who gave you the pup to let them know what's going on.

    I sure hope the puppy pulls through this bad time.
