    I do exactly the same thing with Tango (and other dogs I groom) as Amy described. I used to scissor instead of using a clipper, but I've found that the clipper gets a bit of a neater appearance and it's quicker. Either way works just fine though, depending on what you and your dogs are most comfortable with.

    Journey - 2yr old Australian Shepherd
    Ripley - 5 1/2yr old Doberman
    Dance RN CGN FM - 7 1/2yr old Toller

    I use a mini-clipper for feet. It's not as noisy and the dogs don't mind it as much. Wahl makes the clipper I have. It's a portable, about 6 inches long and comes with a charger.
