I agree with what the others have said. Adding to that is that change (as difficult as it is) is part of life, and once you become open to it and successful at it, you have a whole other set of skills under your belt. We all have the utmost confidence in your ability to adapt and grow. I'm not trying to invalidate your feelings, they are real and appropriate to the situation. Just don't let them close you off to the possibilities that lie ahead.

Having change forced on you is not pleasant. I've been wrestling with unwanted change for a few months now too. (ie: me to hubby: "You're getting a job where?") But, your boss is choosing you for a reason, he must have a great deal of confidence in your abilities. It will bring new people into your life, and may not be as bad as you think now. Good luck, Kay, I know you'll give it your best shot.
