Best Camera

I have a Sony CyberShot DSC-P100 and LOVE it! You have to have a steady hand but as long as you arent wiggling all over the place the pictures are quite clear I also love that it takes MPEG videos. It isn't too fancy but it has all the different lighting and quality settings.

You're going in the right direction with Canon. They are great cameras. I currently have the PowerShot S2 - love it. But, I would exchange it for the S3 anyday - I like the color of the S3.

However, if you're just getting into photography I wouldn't buy such an expensive camera at first. I'd go with one of the smaller PowerShot series.
