Maggie,
I didn't slap you, I just high fived your Face!I've Been Boo'd!!
Rutherford, while not an unusual name, I have never met another pet with that name.
Biddy White Whiskers is probably the only one with his name, too.
Otherwise they are all names that others have used before.
(Amber, Ashley, Bonnie, Calvin, Fern, Hamlet, Jasper, Jim, Kim, Mickey, Monte, Shilo, Simba, Sterling, Willow)
.
I guess a couple are unique
Goddess Goofball (Goofy)
Belladonna (bella the cat he was the girl who daddied the litter)
Sequoia (havent met too many dogs named that)
Io (Karen named him after Jupiters moons since he is a fat red cat)
Obsidian the Dull (he isnt the brightest Kitty in the box)
and Lady Gummypig (my stepson couldnt pronounce guinea pig so it stuck)
Merry Holidays to One an All Blessed be
probably (besides Tigger)
I wouldn't name a pet a common name now. I have seen (but not met) a few Niņos on breeders websites, Oslo is named after the Capitol of Norway and I have yet to hear of another pet who shared the name. Nuria is Spanish for God's Fire or something like that and I've never heard any pets with her name. Terrence is not a rare or unique human name but it's uncommon in pets.
Niņo & Eliza
Lets see-Nitis is unique, and Uno. I've never seen another dog named Sprinkles or Triskit. I believe Whino is unique (this is not a reference to drinking). And Novie is. And Jaws. I don't know how common our cat Aza's name is. Everybody else's is pretty common. I try to name my animals unique names.
Chloe definiatly is not a unique name..i guess Malakai is a unique name, at least around me, ive never met another malakai.![]()
I don't think too many people name their pets Depot, but ever city in WI has a Depot street. Other uncommon names Caddis, Aphid, Kalooki, Ryu, Cho, 13 (yes the fish's name is 13), Horace, Walden. I don't know what constitutes unique.
"There are two things which cannot be attacked in front: ignorance and narrow-mindedness. They can only be shaken by the simple development of the contrary qualities. They will not bear discussion."
Lord John Emerich Edward Dalberg Acton
I have one animal that I gave a pretty unique name...its my rabbit Kishii! I named her Kishii because she is black and Kishii is the japanese name for 'Night' ...its suits her lol.
Bobo is kind of a different name too, that is my cat, but then again I've seen other people's cats named Bobo, like Catmandu's wonderful kitty named Bo Bo.![]()
I wouldn't consider Anita a unique name, but I've never met another dog with that name, not even online. I'm sure there has to be another Anita somewhere, though.![]()
Lola, the mutt, 2 years old
Anita, the dachshund, 7 years old
I've never met another bunny named Baby before. Everyone else has common names.
I've alwaaays had dogs with unique names, well, mostly. We did have one Max... but that was when I was really young and had no say!
