    Afraid of the dentist club?

In 7 mins. I have to go to the dentist to get my first cavitys done, and also one of my teeth is ruined, because what the braces did to my enamel. I am so scared. I never used to feel this way about the dentist. Nobody will reply before I leave but I guess I needed to vent!

    I'm right there with you!
    I don't like going either!

    I hope you're okay, Bre!

I'll join the club. I'm so terrified of the dentist that I almost make myself upchuck before I go.

I LOVE my dentist! The best, IMHO - believes in a pain-free and pleasant experience and delivers every time. I almost look forward to going.

Awww Bre-I know you know my feelings towards the dentist also. Just think it is saving you a lot of pain later in life. Did they give you any painkillers? Whenever I go to the dentist they hop me up on them, lol. Vicodin...oxycotin...hydrocodone. hahaha, it works pretty well, its the only thing I look forward to.

I'll join the club! Actually I've never had any problem with my teeth (not even a cavity) but anyways, everytime I go I can't help but feeling really nervous.

Bre, that sounds awful! I'm glad you made it through ok and I'm sure you're glad it is over.

I would have asked for more, but I just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.

Nope no pain medications. They said if I start to feel sore I should take some tylenol.

Still not over yet, I have to go in and get one more cavity done, and I have a indent in my tooth from when they took my braces off. My appointment is March 1st. AHH

Bre- take some advil- that will help with the soreness and swelling.
I have TMJ which can lock open at anytime in the exam- and the release is very painful. I hate going to the dentist..

I'll join the club. Every year I postpone going to the dentist until I couldn't anymore, then I would go, but feel very forced, and absolutely hateeeeeeeee it!

    Thanks ~Jessie~

Yea- thats what makes it so stiff and easy to swell. I have found taking advil like 600 mg ( alias 3 200 mg) ( check with your doctor) before procedures really helps.

I had to take my oldest brother to the dentist one time and I was ever so impressed with a sign that they had on the wall.... "We Cater To COWARDS!"
