I LOVE my dentist! The best, IMHO - believes in a pain-free and pleasant experience and delivers every time. I almost look forward to going.

Awww Bre-I know you know my feelings towards the dentist also. Just think it is saving you a lot of pain later in life. Did they give you any painkillers? Whenever I go to the dentist they hop me up on them, lol. Vicodin...oxycotin...hydrocodone. hahaha, it works pretty well, its the only thing I look forward to.
I would have asked for more, but I just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. The split second I feel ANYTHING I make them stop and shoot me up more... and more... and more. Of course then I can't speak for 12 hours after but I can not deal with feeling pain at ALL!!
Nope no pain medications. They said if I start to feel sore I should take some tylenol.Originally Posted by areias

Bre- take some advil- that will help with the soreness and swelling.
I have TMJ which can lock open at anytime in the exam- and the release is very painful. I hate going to the dentist..
I'll join the club. Every year I postpone going to the dentist until I couldn't anymore, then I would go, but feel very forced, and absolutely hateeeeeeeee it!

Yea- thats what makes it so stiff and easy to swell. I have found taking advil like 600 mg ( alias 3 200 mg) ( check with your doctor) before procedures really helps.Originally Posted by Flatcoatluver

I'll join the club! Actually I've never had any problem with my teeth (not even a cavity) but anyways, everytime I go I can't help but feeling really nervous.
