Both of mine do and I love it on most nights. Bella can be a sprawler so sometimes she can be a bed hog. On warm nights she will choose to go lay on the floor and I do admit I miss her when she is not there. Make sure you decide this is what you want because it truly would be a hard habit to break once started.

    Suggestion:

Start her out sleeping in her own doggie bed on the floor - and decide LATER.

The reason being...it's easier to train her to get from the floor to the bed than vice versa!

Um, not sure how old this pup is, but you may want to crate train at the start. Young pups can't make it through the night, may not know enough to tell you he (she?) has to "go," and it is easier cleaning the crate than changing the whole bed.

Once the pup is older and house broken, then it's up to you. I seldom get comfortable in bed anymore - 5 cats and a dog take up most of it.

Hey, if you post this in Dog General, I bet you will get a LOAD of info, not just the answer to this question! Let them know the breed, age, gender, other pets in the home now, your past experience with dogs of this breed and of any other breed. Also mention if there are any children in the house. I KNOW you will get lots of replies, this is PET TALK!!
