Heh heh, I just did the 'How English are you?' and got 100%. I have to say though that the quiz was extremely biased as I rarely drink tea and I prefer my scones only with cream and no jam.![]()
I also did the Welsh one and I'm 74% Welsh, so does that make me 174% British?![]()
Midland accent here. I wonder why it says Southern Ohio? I think there is more of an accent there in Northern Ohio.
As for the PIttsburgh quiz, never been there, but got a 97%!! I guess I have enough friends fromthere to understand the talk?
100% Philadelphia.
I was very amused by your result, buttercup (some people may mistake you for Canadian, lol).
Cincy'sMom, I think that would qualify you as an honorary citizen of Pittsburgh or Da 'burgh!Originally Posted by Cincy'sMom
I took the test for fun. This is my result: LOL!
Judging by how you talk you are probably from north Jersey, New York City, Connecticut or Rhode Island. Chances are, if you are from New York City (and not those other places) people would probably be able to tell if they actually heard you speak.

In the one Phred posted, I'd need some " Don't know" answers.![]()

Your accent is the lowest common denominator of American speech. Unless you're a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent. And really, you may not even be from the West at all, you could easily be from Florida or one of those big Southern cities like Dallas or Atlanta.....

...and you guys laughed at the way I say "about"...eh???
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!
