ROFL Pooky is unique even for a Polydactyl (multiple toes), and has a long double jointed 'thumb' on each front paw, he can actually pick up objects like a human!

However I have yet to see Pooky open a doorknob. Dusty & Cami can both open the cupboard doors which required me to move the cat food and put child proof latches on all the lower cupboards!

All but the 3 kittens can open an almost shut door, whether it opens in or out, and Jack can open a completely shut sliding wood door!

You sure have a smart cat. Storm has been known to open doors but he doesn't do it too often. I've seen him reach up and turn the door knob. Sunny will push against a door to see if it'll open and sometimes he gets lucky if it's not closed securely. The others can't open up doors unless it's already partially opened. Sky and Starr can't even figure out how to open a door that's partially open. They never learned how to use there paws for this.

I bet that you can teach Phinehas almost anything.

Both Puddy and Boo can open cupboard doors. Puddy goes after the pizzelles and Boo likes to remove and scatter my Tupperware, with a little help from his cohort Coco Puff. I came home from work one day and at first sight, it appeared my house had been broken into. Then I thought better of it and realized what had happened. My Tupperware was scattered all over the kitchen, down the hall to the foyer to my front door. They apparently had fun.

    Blessings,
    Mary

Sams will play with cupboard doors, exp. bathroom cupboards. This is especially endearing at 3 AM.

Spunky and Ralph Syracuse were able to open the ' fridge and the freezer doors. I placed childproof locks on both doors. Even though both are at the Bridge, I have not removed the locks. I chuckle every time I open those doors and think how easily those cats were able to open them!!!

MY cat Smokey can open doors and cupboards. He also is great at getting up into the "treat" cupboard and getting the trear pouch and bringing it to me.

That's why they have all those fingers and toes We have to keep all outside doors locked at all times cuz little Miss Eve jumps up and opens them We have the Euro handles and she figured those out in 30 seconds

Also on the list are cupboard doors and yes cupboard drawers - she knows she can pull the handle and if she swings just right - it opens The only door she can't seem to muster is the refrigerator - good thing too There is not much point in closing the bathroom door cuz that's just an invitation for our little miss to come busting in!

    Gotta love cats

    Open door cat

I used to have a long bathroom with the toilet at one end and the entrance at the other. My cat learned to pull on the handle and push the door wide open, meow as if to say “How dare you close any door in my house” and leave. Problem is now the door is wide open, about ten feet away and I am stuck finishing my business with the door wide open. Still you got to love them.
