Thanks Lizzie. There is a herd of something there right now but they are too far away for me to identify them.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Geezzz.... I am so adicted to this! And I am at work! I keep it minimized on my screen, and then I go back to it periodically. That herd the Slick wrote about earlier is still there! And I thought I saw something larger moving in the background.

I am hoping to see the giraffe and her baby! I LOVE giraffes!

    THIS IS SOOOOOO COOL!!!!

Actually, I just saw some type of bird divebomb the pond. Fish??? How can their be fish in that pond?? There's no incoming or outgoing water....or am I wrong??

Now they are zooming in on a couple of turtles on the bank...

Gee, I just have to get ready for work...at some point...

Aaaccckkk, it just cut off and says Media Inactive. I guess that's my sign. I'll try again just before I leave for work.

They may have been catching insects that were hovering on top of the water. I've seen that also, and thought fish at first. Would the reserve people have put fish in there to keep the water clean? I've assumed the water is coming up from a natural spring.

It's night time there now. After reading some of the entries on the Africam forum, I'm going to start going back in at night because people do see things at that time, and someone on PT saw hyenas at night.

I keep worrying about the mother giraffe. The wounds on the inside of her back legs certainly looked like she'd been atacked.

Did any of you see the turtles at waters edge this morning? (night time there) It was difficult to really tell their size because there wasn't a point of reference. There were two of them.

Aren't the giraffes the most graceful of animals? I watched the large one walk away and from the rear it was the most feminine of sashaying I have ever seen.

Yep, lots of animals being shown now! Of course, I need to go to bed so I can go to work tomorrow morning. All of the good stuff happens when I am sleeping.

Did you see the wildebeest racing around and kicking up a lot of dust? It went on for ages. They also got into some mock fights, going head to head, and then racing all round again. I've never seen them so active. After that, they went off together for a long drink of water.

Edited to add that at last I'm seeing an elephant. He or she is having a great time at the watering hole, drinking and throwing water everywhere. After going to the web site so many, many times and seeing either nothing or animals I've seen before, it was huge a huge shock to see the elephant right there.

    And, here come some warthogs.

Doesn't it just knock your socks off when an elephant shows up?

Dang....it's not working tonight. I keep getting "Page not found". If this carries on much longer, I'm going to get the DTs.
