Scary thought. Won't the lions be attracted to the smell of blood? That would leave the male giraffe fighting for both their lives.

You know what I really love about this site?? Not only the wildlife but all those birdies singing in the background. I would love to know what kind of birds they are and see a picture of them.

I saw the one giraffe come and get a drink last night (11 p.m. my time) and then join another in the trees to eat. Went to bed before I saw the baby. Will need to stay up later tonight!
There is a herd of deer (impala?) on right now.

Slick - if you go into the Africam forum you will see postings that identify birds just by their calls, as well as by sight. Some of the people on the forum have obviously been in South Africa and really know their stuff.You know what I really love about this site??
