You're going to think this is nuts. But, there is an exhaust fan in the ceiling over my cubicle, and during the day I end up listening to its noises because it helps to block other sounds in the room.

Not Crazy. I listen to the pizza oven hum all the time at work. Blocks out the radio (usually on "92.9. The River. Best of 70's, 80's and Whatever." <--actual tag line) that's playing the same song for the third time in my 6 hr shift.
