    Clysdales

Clydesdales are a breed of heavy draft horse. Clydesdales originated from Scottish farm horses over two hundred years ago.

    How tall are Clydesdales?
Clydesdales can grow to over 18 hands tall. A hand is four inches, so this would be 72 inches, or six feet. A horse is measured from the ground to it's withers. If you feel at the end of a horses mane, you will find a small flat spot, this is the withers. When a horse puts their head down to eat, this is the highest point on the horse.

How much does a Clydesdale weigh?
Mature Clydesdales weigh between 1600 and 2400 pounds, as much as a Volkswagon Beetle.

What are the different colors of Clydesdales? The horses are mostly bay or brown but can be black or sorrel. Roan (white hair scattered throughout the coat) is often seen. A white blaze face and four white legs are common, but black legs are often found. White spots can occur on the body. A knowledgeable judge ignores color in the show ring.

    very beautiful!

FACT: The Spanish Jennet gave its even temperament and smooth ambling gait, the African Barb contributed great energy, strength and stamina while the Andalusian imparted its excellent conformation, action, proud carriage and beauty to the new breed. Once established, the Peruvian Paso was maintained in its native country as a closed population, isolated by geography and the dedication of its creators from the influence of additional outside blood.

Next, I want to see... a Spanish Jennet.

    Spanish Jannet

The Jennet, the ancestor of all North American gaited breeds, was quite popular in color patterns that are today found in the Appaloosa, Knabstrupper and Noriker horses.

    Spanish Jennet

Wow, this breed must be a rare one cause it was hard finding pictures, I got two though

Fact: In the Middle Ages, the Spanish Jennet Horse (Pinto Paso or Paso Tiger Horse) reflected his lofty Spanish heritage in his crisp, smooth gait, his proud and elegant carriage, and in his brilliant colors and flashy patterns. He was the mount of choice of all European nobility

Today, a registered Spanish Jennet Horse (Pinto Paso or Paso Tiger Horse) is a predictable reflection of his historic predecessor. He sports an exotic patterned coat in a full spectrum of the usual colors of horses (the grey gene is not allowed), and he is heir to the stylish and smooth gait and distinctive conformation of the modern day Paso horses.

Next I would like to see an Azteca horse.

okay, couldn't find a yakut with a baby, but got a yakut. I'll try another search engine, kay?

still no luck..there might be a baby in this one..somewhere..

and for the other one, Azteca horse:

FACT: The Azteca is the National Horse of Mexico and is the first breed to be developed in Mexico. Until recently the majority of horses in Mexico were descendants of Spanish horses, such as the Galiceño, or imports from Spain or Portugal. The Spanish horse has always been favored in Mexico and the Andalusian was the foundation of the new breed.

FACT:Compared to horses of similar type and Mongolian origin, the Yakut is larger and more massive. Three Yakut types have been formed: the Northern original Yakut (the Middle Kolyma or Verkhoyansk horse); the smaller southern type which was not crossed with improved breeds; and the larger southern type tending towards the breeds used for the improvement of the local Yakut.

I want to see a...hmmm.....a grey and white[as in grey/white pinto] stallion. if there is no luck with that, then a tri-colored arabian stallion.

yea, it is. Lol thats why I re-started this game!

    a Sorraia:

    ^what a pretty face!

FACT: The Sorraia horse has no history as a domestic breed, but is the last remnant of the indigenous wild horse of southern Iberia. It stands around 14 h.h. Captured animals have been broken to ride and used for herding the fighting bulls and other livestock. This small horse was the primary ancestor of the famous horses of Andalusia and Lusitania and, both directly and indirectly, ancestor to many horses throughout Europe and the Americas.

I am so glad you re-started the game too, last time I had just joined and wasn't able to participate. Here are some pics of the Andalusian horse, they are so beautiful. But of course they would be beautiful, they are Spanish horses and Antonio Banderas is Spanish too, so they have to be good looking

<--Look at the muscles on it

    Facts:

-The Andalusian horse or Spanish horse is one of the purest breeds of horses in the world.

-Andalusians have been used for all manner of riding horses, and were the preferred mount of kings over many centuries. They excel in high school dressage and are used in cattle work and bullfighting in their native Spain. They are highly intelligent and learn very quickly. Next I would like to see an Appaloosa!

I forgot how about a Chincoteague Pony

Famous explorer Meriwether Lewis was appropriately impressed with the breeding accomplishments of the Nez Perce, as noted in his diary entry from February 15, 1806.

Their horses appear to be of an excellent race; they are lofty, eligantly [sic] formed, active and durable…some of these horses are pided with large spots of white irregularly scattered and intermixed with black, brown, bey [sic] or some other dark color.

    Facts:

The Chincoteague and Assateague Ponies inhabit the 37-mile, barrier island of Assateague off the coast of Maryland and Virginia. Both herds are essentially the same except for the area of the island on which they graze, divided only by a fence which is an extension of the border between the two states. These small, hardy horses have been the source of great intrigue and speculation throughout their history on the island.

Next I would like to see a Paint colored Miniature Horse.

this wasn't a paint one but it was just soo darn cute...

here is the pinto ones that you requested

    mommy is a pinto

    Minature Horse:
they have various colors and coat patterns! they're less than 38 inches, or 34 depending on the registery involved. usually kept as a family animal, and are very kind with humans. Average life span; 25 to 35 years. Miniature horses are often considered horses, not ponies and are bred to have more the refined characteristics and proportions of a horse rather than a pony. Many different pony breeds were bred for small size, including the Shetland pony and the Dartmoor pony. There may also have been an infusion of bloodlines from full-sized horses such as the Arabian.

next i would like to see an ...Murgese

Here, in the halfway between the Adriatic and the Ionic seas, the Murgese evolved as the expression of a territory from which it takes it attitudes: the climate of the Murge characterized by cold winters and dry summers gives the Murgese its resilience and strength. The presence of karst rocky gives Murgese his firmness and balance for this reason they are exceptional for cross country riding.[IMG][/IMG]
