Solution! No more lamps falling from the cats

Wow, where were you BEFORE Sparkle broke my $150 lamp in the living room? Of course, she wasn't rubbing against it, she was flying around the house like a goof and the lamp didn't get out of her way in time.

Oh, BTW, I have vaseline on all the cords - lamps, stereo, TV. Cats don't like the taste, smell, feel on their tongues. Only thing is, it attracts every dust bunny for miles around, so periodically you have to clean the cord down and re-apply the vaseline.

Freedom...I know what you mean,about expensive lamps breaking.It's heartbreaking.
I think Colby broke my big heavy "unmoveable....not" tiffany lamp 2 nights ago.And me and Mike woke to pieces of the stained glass everywhere on the floor.It woke us up.But it took forever to clean.This lamp we felt could never move,being so very heavy.It must of been Colby.He's a very big cat and he likes to go up there and look at himself in the dresser mirror and make cry noises(talking to himself)while everyone else sleeps.Of course we didn't get mad...but we got another lamp to replace it(the same one)from home depot yesterday and put the tile under it.

And we also did the small tiffany downstairs with the tile tonight.

..but they never knocked this one over.We'll do all the lamps.But I just wanted to show you that any lamp can be done.
I wish we did this earlier. Even though the tile looks ugly I'm glad I don't have to jump up any more when I here a noise downstairs thinking it's a lamp tipped over.

I Would Like To Have Lamps, And Thats A Great Thread To Keep The Kitten Trio From Destroying Them, And Risking An Old Man Stepping On Broken Glass.
