    What I would have given for something like this when Delta was missing! If they were even semi-affordable, I'd buy one for every one of my timid dogs! I have several who aren't as shy as Delta, but who would be extremely difficult to catch if they ever escaped!

    My dad wonders why if they can microchip a dog, why they can't implant a small GPS transmitter too. I'm sure lost or stolen dogs would be found much quicker.

    I was just thinking the same thing. I would pay the big bucks to get Fenway a GPS transmitter chip. He has a regular chip in him. But I'd be all for a GPS transmitter chip.

    They do have them, but I have been trying to find the link. The reason is that not all readers can read all chips. It showed up on a thread a few months back also..

    ONE Big reason is a GPS Transmitter needs a source of power (battery) to operate.
