Thank you for all the compliments on my girls here are there stories...
Lucy was rescued by a friend from the shelter at the age of 8 weeks. All I know for sure about her mix is that her mom was a basset hound lab mix. No idea what her dad was. My friend had to move to an apartment and couldn't keep her anymore when she was 18 weeks old so I took her in. I got her a few days before my birthday in 2006.
Maggie was owned by my great uncles friend who also moved to an apartment and couldn't keep her anymore, my great uncle kept her for a few weeks and ended up giving her to my grandmother, my grandmother kept her for about 6 months and ended up giving her to my great aunt who kept her for about a month when she peed on the floor one time my great aunt gave her back to my grandmother. I told my grandmother I would foster her and find her a good home but she ended up staying here permanently because I got so attached to her. I got her in february of 2006.
Gracie I got last september on my birthday I wanted a rescue dog so my mom went to the shelter and picked one out for me. She actually would have been euthanized after closing that day if my mom hadn't gotten her. I got her september of 2005.
Zoe was found by my grandmother wandering on the side of the highway she was a walking skeleton and very emaciated. She had saggy breasts like she had just raised a litter of puppies and she was very scared and you could tell she was abused. She has a severely deformed ribcage possibly from where someone kicked her although it could also be a birth defect. She is also brain damaged I believe because she doesn't act quite right...I believe some one kicked her as punishment frequently because she was very scared of feet. I have had her for about 6 years now and she is much less scared.

Someone looked at my binder at school (it has all my dogs on the front of it. They said the only one that wasn't ugly was Gracie.
