I think I just missed something.. AGAIN. The camera was making it's way back to the watering hole.

I keep missing the larger animals too. Been seeing a lot of ducks during the day and nothing at night. Right now the moon is reflected in the pond. Kind of pretty.

Right now the cam is either not working or there is an elephant standing in front of it.

I closed and re-opened; it's now working for me. Does anyone else find the noise of the insects deafening? Even with the volume turned down below mid-way, I find it irritating after a short time. It would take me a long time to fall asleep through all the racket.

I actually find it calming. But then I grew up in the country where crickets and tree frogs were abundant.

I'd sleep with my windows open in the summer. I would find it hard to sleep in the winter because it was so quiet.

Gah! That camera lurched to the left and my heart just about skipped a beat. No animals though.

They then zoomed in on the moon reflection and back out.

Is that camera automated or does someone man it at all times?

It's amazing to see how fast the earth is really rotating. The moon's reflection moved from the lower portion of the pond to the upper portion in about an hour. The moon itself is just now coming into camera view.

Keeping camera and a pen and paper near the computer. I just took a picture of some wildebeast grazing. I am recording the time I take the pic but it is in Africa.

The wildebeast went on alert and the camera panned to the right. Something small walked by... looks like it was a hyena.

Those wildebeests are so pretty, I had only seen birds until now.
I took a few pics of them, I'll post them in a second.
