It's atleast better dog food then Iams and Purina right?
Well Zoey is eating this because of the lamb and rice combination- then the only eyebrow raiser I have, is that it does have "chicken fat" in it. The protein density and all look pretty good.. How does Zoey like it? And have you seen any results yet?
The only other thing that caught my eye was sodium selenite is pretty high on the list- but on second glance- its obvious its in the vitamin mixture of the formula. Sodium selenite main purpose is to make the stools uniform and compact- added too high on the list means this is a anal gland waiting to happen in some breeds prone to this..
But seriously flatcoatluver- it looks pretty good.. Even has rosemary in it- something not usually added in dog food, and needed for regulating hormones- which moves into thyroid, which.. etc etc etc..

We carry Avoderm. There are 3 formulas...3 grades. The lowest of the 3 is just ok, but, the highest grade is very good. They are made specifically for skin problems. Also, it is baked...not extruded...so more of the nutrients are kept in...I will check tomorrow for the levels and names for you.

Mike is standing here and said that there is Original, Skin and Coat, and Plus. What you posted is the Plus. The only difference between Skin and Coat and Plus is that Skin and Coat is made with Chicken and the Plus is made with lamb.

He is curious what is wrong with the dog's skin. He has a boatload of food and is great at recommendations. What are you currently feeding?

She is currently being fed now kirkland lamb and rice. She is getting dandruffy skin and just not a great coat. I just recently treated for fleas, and I started feeding liver treats only, just incase the problem is in her treats. I am sure my boss will order me the kind that does not have chicken since her dog is allergic to chicken.

Let me know how much you have to pay...we may be able to get if for you and ship it cheaper...no guarentees, but we could check...one difference, we wouldn't charge any more than what it costs us to ship it.

I will have Mike check on the Kirkland Lamb and see how it compares. We don't carry that one.

Oh, and Wellness USED to bake their food, but, now use the extrusion process.

Another REALLY good food (we are now giving it to 5 of our dogs) is Pinnacle's Duck and Potato...We had some with skin issues and coat issues as well as digestive issues and all of the issues disappeared when we switched to the Pinnacle. I got a phone call yesterday from a store in Buffalo, NY that sells Pinnacle to check and see if we sold it...so, we must be on the website eh?? lol

I don't know where you are in Washington, but, on the website (http://www.breeders-choice.com/) it says there are 13 pages of retailers within 50 miles of Seattle...you might check the website and see if there are any retailers in your area before you spend the shipping costs to get it.

Baked is better- one of the reasons I like the Bil Jac- the extrusion process kills most of the water soluable vitamins- allowed in the pet food industry for the anaylis is done PRIOR to this process.
