Beautiful fish. The cichlid reminds me, I've got to give my new fishie a welcome post. Are you just starting that tank with the little trops? Maybe the tetras are Head and Tail Light tetras? What advice did you get that was bad?

That I could but like 10 fish in a 10 gallon tank, and also that all tetras get a long with other fish.. The two tetras I have pick, on all of my plays and black skirt. Also petco said that all of the fish are different ph balences and petsmart said they are all the same ph.
Thanks so much Ashley for the siggy!

You could get away with ten, it seems you have enough knowledge about aquariums that a little bit of overstock wouldn't be something you couldn't handle. Tetras are pretty picky, but platies can be worse. Both are semi-aggressive. Farmed tetras are not hardy at all, they really do best in soft water/low ph, but in a healthy tank ph isn't all that important. Hopefully you'll have good luck and healthy fish.

Thanks everyone! My cichlid is atleast 6 inches. They get huge, so cichlids need big tanks.
