are you planning on taking her into a groomer at all?? i think it might be a good idea to start her early so she can get used to it... Shih tzus need to be groomed on a regular basis (doesnt mean they need a hair cut though).. just a bath and blowdry, and brushing.. My moms shih Tzu, Oscar, needs to go in because he gets heavly matted if she doesnt take him.. Or do it herself...

Thank you for the advice. I do take Muffin to the groomer regularly, just so she gets used to the idea. I bathe her every week, and brush her every day - so I think she, and her messy hair, are very well cared for .
