What a handsome St. B! Did he let you get the choke collar off yet? Aw, poor boy. Looks like he is quite happy in your back yard! Will he be sleeping on the bed with you?

WONDERFUL! I bet the poor dog was confused at first- things should be fine- and yes- big dogs do think they are lap dogs!

Yay that things are working out between your hubby and Rocky! I guess all the new people, environment and activities freaked him out a bit, but it's so great he's fitting right in!! You guys are awesome!

Congratulations - and I knew he'd adjust quickly. Saints are SUCH people dogs. He's just gorgeous, and it's good he's getting along with the other dogs, too. Thank goodness you found that choke collar before it made him miserable! I hope for your sake that he's got leash manners, but he's not too old to learn some. It's just easier with Saints when they are still smaller than the human being trying to train them. They are such sensitive lugs, though - a harsh word is far more wounding than a wack with a 2x4 would be! There just is no *sigh* like a St. Bernard sigh.

I am so glad you were able to give this big handsome boy a new home. And I am so glad he has settled down with your hubby. Give him some time, everything is so new to him, so many changes. Lucky for him he landed in a good home.

Yes we were able to get the Choke Collar off last night. It had to be cut off cause it was way too small to get around his head, i could barely get a finger under it! Rocky was a good boy, and once it was off head started going nuts shaking his head! i think he was happy it was gone!
