I'm so sorry that Nakita has gone on to the other side. She was a beautiful kitty. Through your pain and grief try to remember that she is alright now, healed to the beautiful girl she was before this awful illness struck her. We don't know why these things happen, and I don't believe that God is responsible because he wanted another little kitty angel. Do you remember Rabbi Kushner who wrote "When Bad Things Happen to Good People"? He said that there is sickness and bad things in the world and it is just because we are human, or feline in this case, and are a part of the world that bad things befall us. The best - like Nakita - suffer along with the worst. Sometimes there just isn't a reason, or any meaning, for the things that cause us so much pain. So love Nakita's memory and believe you will see her again One Fine Day.

Kass and Rob,
my heart breaks for you and for that first night without hearing Nakita's tiny paws. I am sure on the carpet it sounded like "Les pas sur la neige" by Debussy.
Nakita has touched so many hearts here. She was a fairy kitty and I always felt she was not completely from this world.
