I don't visit the cat side often, but when I do, new pictures of Nakita were always some of my favorites. She was such a beauty and had such stunning presence. I was shicked to hear the news when Staci sent me a text this afternoon.

I've been reading all the wonderful sentiments and trying to make sense of this loss. But this is truly tragic. Nakita was your one and ONLY! Your heart and soul! She was just a BABY!! This is so unfair.

Only God knows why He needed her more than her human family, but that cannot comfort grieving hearts.

No one has ever tried harder to make their baby well, and STILL she had to leave. You have every right to be angry and crushed.

But we who have lost our precious ones, to old age or sickness, are here with you. We grieve with you. We pray for the hurt to go away. We wish you comfort in your loneliness. And we hope one day you will feel the need to love another. Until that day, Nakita shall watch over you, her spirit will never leave your hearts.

I, too have gone back to read all the comments here. When I first heard of little Emerald Eyes my eyes filled up with tears. Yes, we all grieve with you.

Today I was at the computer and Max was in his regular spot right in front of the keyboard. He knows that in that spot he will get hugs and kisses and I performed my duty as assigned. When I was hugging him, I thought about Max being 13 and how much longer would I have him. I cried into his fur and the hurt overwhelmed me. I know just how you feel.

Kass, I don't know what else to say except I know what you are going through and I understand the void that exists. You and Rob are in my prayers and I wish I could wave a magic wand and make the pain go away. Cherish the memories and know that those emerald eyes will be with you always.

Kass & Rob, my heart truely breaks for you as I could only imagine the pain you must be feeling on the loss of your beautiful Emerald Girl, Nakita. I have major LES everytime I read a new post. I still can't believe that our precious girl is gone. You are both in my thoughts and in my prayers.

Kass and Rob, we feel your pain, Nakita was loved by many here.
She was a unique beauty, a one-of-a-kind kitty, a very special girl whose time on earth was way too short.
I know you did all that you could to try to make her well again.
Just know that we are all here for you when you need us most.
I am so very deeply sorry for your loss.

Thanks. I just read it, and now I'm sitting here with tears running down my face!! What a terrible emotional roller coaster for Kass and Rob, with the saddest ending... And poor Nakita!! She must have felt so terribly ill!!!

I have also just checked one of her last photo threads. She was such a tiny, beautiful little one, like an angel with a lot of wisdom in her emerald eyes...
