Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a nice evening and was safe in their celebrations.

Andy and I stayed in and watched movies. I made dinner, we took a nap, and woke at 11:30 p.m. just in time to count down the ball drop. It was quite peaceful, with Logan in my lap, Chipper curled up next to Andy, and Zam and Kia laying nearby. The whole family in the living room (sans the reptiles of course) bringing in the New Year.

Andy and I smooched, toasted with champagne, and then someone outside either shot off a shotgun or lit fireworks because there was this huge bang that sent the cats scattering and the dogs to the window to investigate.

No more surprise noises after that. Pretty quiet here in the complex.

We then watched a few episodes of Metalacolypse and now we're off to bed soon.
