It seems the movie industry is loosing there movie skills,

Now they have to use books ....

I've noticed that so many movies these days are based on a book, is a remake, or something else. I rarely see a movie that someone thought up themself.

Oh I read that in elementary school! I don't remember anything about it except that I loved the book. I think I was in second grade? Maybe third? Ok, so it was a long time ago.....in any case, I'm excited to hear that they are making a movie about it, and I bet I'll see it. Although I agree with GreyhoundGirl, the book is always better than the movie.

Most movies are based on books, especially older movies. I really liked bridge to terabithia.

I also read it in elementery school-I don't think it was meant for small children. Looking back on it, yes it's a great book, but to have a class of young children read it, I don't know,it seemed to be aimed for an older group. It was a little traumatizing for me back then.
