I'm going to apologize upfront--I've had to skim over most of the new replies--I'm about to lose it. I know they are soo filled with LOVE but I've got to stay "together" until after the interview.... after the interview, I'm printing them out and having a crying fest! lol
SOPHIE IS OK!!!!
*sigh* of relief.... A HUGE--ENORMOUS sigh of relief!!
He doesn't really know what they are but is almost 100% sure that it's nothing to be worried about. Because the lumps are about the same size/length/shape/position, he feels that it is some sort of fat deposit--probably not the fatty tumors but something along that line. He said b/c she is "normal" in her other habits, he really didn't see any reason to put her through the stress of a biopsy, etc.
The vet & vet tech had a good laugh--everytime he/they tried to handle her, she'd escape, run over to me, put her paws on my shoulder, & burry her face in my neck. The vet said, "Well, we know who HER owner is, don't we?!" lol
I'm OVERJOYED that he thinks it's nothing to be worried about, but at the same time, I think I'd feel better if I could "feel" them on another rabbit. One of mom's schoolkids lives on a farm w/ (meat) rabbits---she's going to ask if they have any that are about Soph's age & if it'd be ok for us (mom and myself) to pay a visit. (I don't know really know how I feel about going to see*meat*
rabbits, but....)
THANK YOU for your prayers and well wishes!!!! They helped more than you could ever imagine!
Now, I've got change & run off to an interview...
