A big welcome to pet talk!
I am so thrilled to have someone who educates themselfs before getting a dog! I enjoyed looking at your pictures. Good luck.

Welcome to Pet Talk, Rebecca. I'm in California too! I have never heard of a Silken Windhound before, so it was totally neat to see those pictures in your album. It sounds like you've found the perfect breed of dog for you, and I can't wait to see the new addition when you get him!
I have 3 kitties and 1 doggie. I'm hoping to add an Oriental cat to my fur family soon.
You'll like it here!

Its like a small borzoi- actually small borzois bred to whippets to lower the size, then bred back to another silken- . Its a young breed about 20 or so years, but dearly loved! And the best are in California and Texas.. !Originally Posted by wolflady
