I just had to re-visit this thread, Jess. I'm so happy to see more pictures of this little doll. She is so adorable!! I'm so happy for all of you. I just can't express how happy I am!!

Her first vet visit went pretty well and afterwards I took her to Petsmart to meet people and get some exposure. Once she got over her initial nervousness she was a social butterfly. She met a pug puppy and got all kinds of attention from people and treats at the register . She does well in the car so far, she's curious and watches the surroundings. She's already quite a bit more outgoing than Tasha was as a puppy.

The vet felt she may be a lab/pittie mix. Her said her body looks lab but her ears and face strike him as pittie. He says it can be hard to tell when they are babies but that's his impression right now. He thought she behaved like a very intelligent and pleasant puppy. He said he could also see she already loves me to death.

This picture is one of the best for showing how her face looks. I feel it's possible she could have pittie in her but who knows

It's interesting that the Vet thought Raven a Lab/Pittie mix. I thought,
in this picture especially, I could see Chow. In the head & jaw lines. It's
probably just the angle in this picture. I try to guess my two pupsters
mix of breeds sometimes myself. What ever she is, she's a real cutie.

That picture is the one Devon posted of Cole, and I agree his head looks chow-like in that picture though he does resemble Raven but I think his head is bulkier than hers will be. USUALLY chow mixes have some sign of it on the tongue too and are fuzzier so I don't think she has chow in her but really it's so hard to tell when they are little! She looks all lab except for her head, ear set and face right now has a resemblance to a pittie puppy's shape.

I looked at some pictures of pittie pups on google and I definitely see a resemblance in the face. This one is a bit younger than Raven but has the same ear set and head shape:



Anyway she's definitely part lab and it will be interesting to see how she grows

I'd agree here. Nikka is a chow/pointer and her head is definately bulkier.


Anyway Raven is such a cuttie.....your lucky I dont' know where you live...or you might find yourself missing a puppy.....
