The night before Thanksgiving I was making Sweet Potato Casserole and had left over mashed sweet potatoes so I mixed some in the pup's food. Buddy took a big mouth full of food and spit it out!Sierra never came near it!

If that had been my group, they would have dived at it- asking where is the raw egg mom??? lol..

Hmm I didnt know they were good for dogs. I wonder if Santo would like them? He does eat ANYTHING.
As I read all these posts about giving dog people food, I have to wonder why I have always been under the impression you should not give your dog people food? The only people food we give Zoee is carrots. Am I missing something?![]()
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.
Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

People food is food made by people, over processed junk food. Also don't feed your dogs garbage/table scrapes. If you wont eat it it's not really good for them either.
What do they make dog food out of if not food? Meat veggies so on.
Just avoid the bad guys like onions, grapes, and chocolate.
But as treats if you want to feed a fully home made diet study up on it a bit first.
I have fed raw for now 19 years. ( looked it up today) and veggies always were a part of this. Its natural in beta caratine, but not processed to loose the b vitamins like heat processing does..
I just had to change for a month to feeding a very good, but still commercial diet. ( solid gold) . However- we are going back to raw after the 2nd week in January.
Well, this is good to know. I had to drill it into my boyfriends head not to feed Zoee from the table, that's for other reasons, so she won't beg.
I don't know if I can tell him she can eat food other than her dog food, since I have been so adamant on not doing it.
I think I will look into it though. Thanks.
