I have to pay to finish our basement and make it an "apartment" (sort of) for me.....
probably about $15-$20k (expensive puppy, eh?)
paying the loan monthly like rent.

Have you *priced* a small home or Pet-Friendly Apartment??

And they don't come with resident Dawg-Sitters, meal cookers, and
experienced, always on-call, "Advisors".
