The walk went very well. Nothing like being dragged down the road by two dogs.

He finally pooped. It was soft but well formed. He greeted everyone we met and pounced on leaves that would blow by. They are now taking a nap, though I'm sure it'll be short lived.

WELCOME HOME, CHIPPER! So glad to hear that you're home and doing well.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Thanks everyone for the good thoughts. He's continuing to do great. No vomiting, eating everything in sight, begging for our food, and having good poops.

Chipper and Kia have been wrestling so much this morning that I'm surprised they are not pooped out yet.

Here are some photos and videos from yesterday when he came home from the hospital.

    Playing with his new toy

    Wanting a treat

    Chowing down dinner

    Sharing the couch with Zam

You can see his shaved belly....

...and how Zam shifted and was kicking him in the face. He didn't seem to mind.

Sorry for not having posted sooner. I have been following the thread and praying for you both and Chipper. Having had Snoopy in the "hospital" so short a time ago I know how worrisome it is when they aren't real sure what is wrong. Looks like Chipper did much better than Snoops with the IV. Snoopy would have never left that IV connection remain as it was in your picture. I cannot tell you how many times they had to poke old Snoops because he wouldn't leave things be.

I am so glad Chipper is getting better and home. I will keep praying for you all.

Oh Happy Day! Now you take it a bit easy Chipster boy. Don't be trying to make up for lost time by being wild and crazy and wearing yourself out. Pace yourself, okay? Your new-found PT people have been worried about you to say nothing of what Mom and Dad have been through. Take your medicine like a good boy and heed what Uncle Phred says- let's be careful where you lift the leg. Hint - if it's cold, it's probably okay to let 'er rip.

Dinner went perfectly. He gobbled it all down and took his meds with no fuss and like a champ. He even wanted my sushi.

He had a little dribble accident inside in his excitement of me arriving home from running errands, but he held most of it in and let loose outside.

They are now resting after a small bout of play. Chipper is probably still tired from his ordeal, but he does not look ill, simply restful. I'm actually glad he's not gungho, it gives me time to pick up this place. It's pretty messy in here.

He perks up when someone enters the building though. Something he didn't do when he was sick.
